THERE'S NOTHING ELSE LIKE THESE!! Look carefully at the images in the Amazon listing. They are super sturdy (feet, legs, joints, etc.) and they are unusually comfortable! The arms are solid, padded and restful. They don't wiggle around and bag and bind your elbows. The seat bottom is stable and holds its wide shape when you sit in it. It comfortably holds my 200+ lb. body. Don't confuse these with cheaper chairs in which the seat bottom is basically a mini-hammock in which your butt puddles in a big dip in the middle, squeezing your hip sockets. When these are opened/set up they are strong and comfortable and you can scrooch around in them just like you would a non-portable permanent side chair. A GREAT VALUE. Since Maccabee quit making these (at least I can't find them anywhere!) I was pleased to find that they are exact replacements for our 25-year old Maccabees which are now worn out at the canvas edges from many years of packing/unpacking, but still going strong. Invest in these and you'll not need to replace them for many years!!
